Job Summary

A staffing firm is searching for a person to fill their position for a Telecommute Principal Search Engineer in Boston.

Must be able to:

  • Participate in all search-related aspects of back end systems
  • Contribute to the build and scale of the data processing pipeline
  • Work with real-time data indexing as well as tuning search response performance

Qualifications Include:

  • 5+ years of core Java development experience in a production environment (NOT J2EE)
  • Professional experience with Elasticsearch, Lucene, or Solr
  • Experience with NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Hadoop, or Cassandra)
  • Professional experience or familiarity with MySQL
  • Product development experience with Hadoop, Hive, Spark or other Big Data
