Job Summary

A nonprofit organization has an open position for a Telecommute Regional Advocacy Manager.

Must be able to:

  • Recruit and implement volunteer-based advocacy structures in the Southeast region
  • Identify, train and manage high-level volunteers to serve in leadership roles within state advocacy structures
  • Develop state based action alerts and digital engagement campaigns

Qualifications for this position include:

  • Approximately 35% travel required
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Minimum of five years of experience in community/political organizing, electoral campaigns, etc
  • Ability to conceptualize and articulate policy goals and advocacy opportunities
  • Skilled in public speaking, particularly conveying complex policy issues in plain language
