Job Summary

A managed healthcare and insurance company has a current position open for a Telecommute Senior Backend Software Engineer.

Must be able to:

  • Architect and build scalable systems, libraries, and frameworks
  • Develop APIs and web microservices
  • Write backend code using Scala

Qualifications Include:

  • Bachelor’s Degree Computer Science, Computer Engineering or other relevant discipline
  • 4+ years of coding experience with Scala or Java
  • 4+ years of real industry experience in Backend software development
  • 4+ years of experience with SQL and NoSQL databases and caching
  • Demonstrated experience/exposure to cloud-based services and hosting (AWS and/or Azure)
  • Demonstrated experience/exposure to distributed systems and high-performance systems
