Job Summary

A financial services company is filling a position for a Telecommute Small Business Credit Senior Legal Counsel.

Core Responsibilities Include:

• Supporting legal issues within the small business credit/financing products
• Supporting product regulatory issues, loan underwriting, marketing, loan servicing, bankruptcy and collections within the small business credit/ lending space
• Taking a practical, business minded, approach to counseling clients on legal risk and issues

Qualifications Include:

• Significant experience with small business credit/financing products, preferably in a bank or fintech environment
• Ability to effectively explain/summarize complex concepts to varying audiences
• Demonstrated creative thinker with strong problem solving skills and the ability to stay calm under challenging circumstances
• 5 or more years of experience practicing in the small business lending space, either in-house (or in an equivalent setting) or at a law firm
• Juris Doctorate or equivalent degree
• Admitted to a state bar
