Job Summary

A company that operates a web-based portal that allows users to share their knowledge is in need of a Telecommute Software Engineer.

Must be able to:

• Create polished products and write high quality code by designing APIs and abstractions that are extensible and maintainable
• Architect and scale user-facing product features to drive engagement and help the product grow
• Create the tools, abstractions, frameworks, and systems to make developers more productive across all platforms

Qualifications for this position include:

• B.S., M.S., or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Engineering or a related technical field
• Knowledge of Python, Javascript, or C++, or the ability to learn them quickly
• A passion for learning and always improving yourself and the team around you
• Be available for meetings and impromptu communication during "coordination hours" (Mon-Fri: 9am-3pm Pacific Time)
• Prior software engineering internship experience with web applications, databases, or distributed systems preferred
