Job Summary

A quality assurance and risk management company is in need of a Telecommute Solar Inverter Engineer.

Candidates will be responsible for the following:

  • Providing electrical expertise concerning power conversion and electrical distribution equipment
  • Providing expertise regarding electrical codes and grid standards as related to solar power plants
  • Assessing product design including aspects of power conversion, thermal design and control strategies

Must meet the following requirements for consideration:

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering with a focus in power systems or power electronics
  • 4 years of engineering experience in a related field
  • 3 years of experience in the design and/or testing of power conversion equipment
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills
  • Experience with simulation tools such as PSLF, PSSE, CYME, Spice, MATLAB/Simulink
  • Experience designing or evaluating products for compliance with North America grid codes
