Job Summary
A nonprofit company is searching for a person to fill their position for a Telecommute Staff Attorney.
Core Responsibilities Include:
- Creating, distributing and updating quality legal materials related to criminal law, family law, victim rights, etc
- Developing and executing a coordinated plan for the legal department,
- Working with and provide guidance to undergraduate, graduate, and law school interns
Skills and Requirements Include:
- Open and direct communication style
- At least one to three years of work, internship, or clinical experience in the fields of victim advocacy, criminal law, family law, policy analysis, etc
- A Juris Doctor from an ABA accredited law school and must be admitted to practice in Wisconsin
- Demonstrated subject-matter expertise in at least some of the following areas: criminal law, family law, restraining orders/injunctions, human trafficking, victim rights, dismantling systems of oppression, issues impacting rural areas
- Excellent analytical and written and verbal communication skills
