Job Summary

A healthcare company has an open position for a Telecommute Utilization Management Registered Nurse Consultant.

Candidates will be responsible for the following:

• Determining appropriate levels of coverage for inpatient stay by using clinical judgment and applying nationally recognized criteria
• Obtaining necessary information from providers and facilities
• Authorizing and coordinating the required services, in accordance with the benefit plan

Applicants must meet the following qualifications:

• Percent of Travel Required 0 - 10%
• 3 to 5 years of clinical experience
• Familiarity with Microsoft Word and Excel, and the ability to copy and paste is also necessary
• The minimum level of education desired for candidates in this position is a Associate's degree or equivalent experience
