Job Summary

A technology development company is seeking a Telecommute WordPress Backend Developer.

Candidates will be responsible for the following:

• Developing and maintaining custom WordPress plugins
• Developing or maintaining our clients' custom WordPress themes and the occasional premium themes
• Collaborating closely with our development team and project managers to deliver high-quality solutions to our client

Qualifications Include:

• 3+ years of experience in developing and maintaining custom WordPress plugins using object-oriented PHP
• Understanding of security best practices, including when and how to use WordPress function to validate, sanitize and escape data
• 3+ years of experience in frontend coding using semantic and well-formed HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
• 3+ years of experience building or assisting with the maintenance of well-organized, custom WordPress themes
• Adding features/functionality to themes using JavaScript/jQuery
