Job Summary

A staffing agency needs applicants for an opening for a Telecommuting Certified Inpatient Surgery Medical Coder in Knoxville.

Candidates will be responsible for the following:

• Working General, Vascular and/or Bariatric Surgeries
• Doing CPT-4 procedure coding
• Working with outsourced billing companies

Position Requirements Include:

• Must hold a national coding certification from AAPC or AHIMA
• Able to work denials and gather any information in order to appeal
• Experience working General, Vascular and/or Bariatric Surgeries
• Experience working with outsourced billing companies auditing the work they have coded
• Experience doing CPT-4 procedure coding
• Knowledge of medical terminology
