Job Summary

A publisher needs applicants for an opening for a Telecommuting Communications Acquisition Editor.

Candidates will be responsible for the following:

  • Acquiring, developing, and publishing new books, digital products, revisions of current books
  • Hiring, development, and management of editorial assistant, or other editorial staff as assigned
  • Setting standards of professionalism and leadership in interactions with all internal staff

Required Skills:

  • Travel to college campuses
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university
  • 3 years of content acquisition experience
  • Ability to manage simultaneously multiple aspects acquisitions, development, and profit and loss for a print or digital program
  • Experience owning a higher ed discipline
  • Market development experience for first editions or for digital products
