Job Summary

A health information coding and consulting services company is in need of a Telecommuting Emergency Department Coder.

Candidates will be responsible for the following:

• Working remotely from the your home office providing ED coding services to clients
• Reviewing medical records and assign codes based on the patient’s medical record
• Abstracting appropriate information from the medical record based on the guidelines provided by the client

Required Skills:

• RHIA, RHIT, CCS, or CCS-P from AHIMA; or CPC or COC from AAPC
• 1 or more years of recent Emergency Department coding experience
• Top coding skills
• Ability to work from home using high-speed Cable, DSL, or Satellite internet
