Job Summary
An educational technology company has an open position for a Telecommuting K through 5 Math Specification Writer.
Individual must be able to fulfill the following responsibilities:
- Writing specification documents for software engineers on how to algorithmically generate math problems and explanations
- Designing difficulty controls to generate problems of varying levels of rigor
- Writing clear, helpful, age-appropriate math questions and explanations
Applicants must meet the following qualifications:
- BA/BS degree in math, computer science, engineering, or a related field OR 3+ years classroom teaching experience in K–12 education
- Clear writing style with an ability to tailor text to different audiences
- Understanding of grade-level appropriateness
- Ability to relate to elementary school students
- Strong analytical-reasoning and problem-solving skills
