Job Summary

An editing and publishing services company needs applicants for an opening for a Telecommuting Life Sciences Editor.

Candidates will be responsible for the following:

• Ensuring flow, transition, correct terminology, correctness of content, and coherence
• Formatting manuscripts to conform to academic conventions in terms of citation style, layout, section headings, etc
• Preserving the author’s intended meaning even in papers where the content requires extensive revision

Must meet the following requirements for consideration:

• At least 5 years of relevant academic copyediting/substantive editing/proofreading experience
• Proficiency and competence in the most widely spoken language across the world—English!
• Knack for diligently editing, restructuring, and polishing articles written by non-native speakers
• Extensive subject matter expertise
