Job Summary

An IT company has a current position open for a Telecommuting Oracle Apps Database Consultant.

Candidates will be responsible for the following:

  • Responding to monitoring alerts
  • Supporting of Oracle Applications and Oracle Database services
  • Providing recommendations of best practices for improvements to current operational processes and procedures

Qualifications for this position include:

  • Linux/Unix, Shell and Perl scripting experience
  • Undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Information Technology other related field from an accredited university
  • In-depth knowledge of Oracle ASM and CRS
  • Experience with installation, configuration, patching, cloning, and upgrading of Oracle Applications and Oracle Databases
  • Experience with design and implementation of various Oracle backup/recovery strategies
  • Strong experience in Oracle Data Guard technology
