Job Summary

A clinical documentation company is filling a position for a Telecommuting Precertification Medical Specialist.

Must be able to:

  • Call to obtain insurance authorizations for medical procedures
  • Analyze the patients clinical record to find the information needed to support prior approval for a procedure
  • Utilize insurance expertise to complete required tasks

Required Skills:

  • Minimum 1-2 years experience in obtaining precertification authorization within the past year
  • Prior experience working within an EMR
  • Understanding of insurance coverage and participation
  • Computer software and hardware must meet the employer's minimum technical requirements
