Job Summary

A healthcare company needs applicants for an opening for a Telecommuting Primary Care Associate Medical Director.

Individual must be able to fulfill the following responsibilities:

  • Provide timely expert medical review for requests to evaluate the medical necessity
  • Review appeals for denied services
  • Provide timely peer-to-peer discussions with referring physicians to clarify clinical information

Applicants must meet the following qualifications:

  • Will be an M.D. or D.O.
  • Have current, active, U.S. state medical license
  • Board certified in a clinical specialty recognized by the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS)
  • Recent practice experience in direct patient care (within the past 18 months)
  • Familiarity with automated processes and computer applications and systems is required
