Job Summary

A medical benefits management solutions provider needs applicants for an opening for a Telecommuting Rheumatology Associate Medical Director.

Must be able to:

• Provide expert medical review for service requests that do not meet criteria
• Review appeals for denied services related to current relevant medical experience or knowledge
• Discuss with referring physicians to clarify clinical information and to explain review outcome decisions

Qualifications Include:

• M.D. or D.O. with a current, active, U.S. state medical license
• Board certified in a clinical specialty recognized by the American Board of Medical Specialties
• Recent practice experience in direct patient care within the past 18 months
• 5+ years of clinical experience post residency/fellowship
• Familiarity with automated processes and computer applications and systems
