Job Summary
A software company is in need of a Telecommuting Technical Engineering Lead.
Candidates will be responsible for the following:
- Ensuring technical quality in the services shipped under the contract
- Being able to serve as an escalation path for code review and debugging when needed
- Working with a given client to set technical strategy that maps to the client's business goals
Applicants must meet the following qualifications:
- 10 years of experience developing consumer-facing web applications, services, and APIs
- Programming in one or more major open source languages, such as Ruby, Python, Go, or Java
- Deep, demonstrated understanding of the fundamental technologies of the web: HTTP, SSL, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and JSON
- Legally authorized to work in the U.S now and in the future without sponsorship
- Experience leading an engineering team and delivering scalable services to production
- Must pass background check and provide references
