Job Summary
A company that offers strategic digital solutions is filling a position for a Telecommuting WordPress Front End Developer in Chicago.
Candidates will be responsible for the following:
- Developing WordPress sites using custom themes and the occasional premium theme
- Collaborating closely with our development team and project managers to deliver high-quality solutions to our client
- Working to agreed upon development plans and within approved budgets
Must meet the following requirements for consideration:
- Three or more years of experience in developing semantic and well-formed frontend code using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- Writing semantic well-formed code and paying attention to standards and good practices
- Experience building well-organized, custom WordPress themes that rely heavily on custom fields, custom post types and well-organized theme functions.
- Implementing plugins when plugins are ideal
- Adding features/functionality to themes using JavaScript/jQuery
- Sass/SCSS
