Job Summary

A staffing agency is in need of a Virtual Certified Medical Coder in San Antonio.

Core Responsibilities of this position include:

• Identifying, collecting, assessing, monitoring and documenting claims
• Verifying and ensuring the accuracy, completeness, specificity and appropriateness of diagnosis codes
• Monitoring Coding changes to ensure that most current information is available

Qualifications for this position include:

• Candidate must be AAPC or AHIMA certified for at least 3 years
• 2+ years of working as a certified medical coder
• Coding certification through AHIMA/ AAPC is required
• Minimum of GED or High School Diploma is required
• Excellent written verbal and communication skills
• High speed internet with good service available at your home
