Job Summary

LIttera Education is looking for reading tutors to cover peak tutoring hours in May and June with potential for summer work (if interested).

Have a passion for supporting and motivating students who are most in need of a learning boost
Are available, and able to commit, to tutoring sessions held on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays in May and June between the hours of 4:00 and 7:00 pm EST (Does not require tutoring for all 3 hours - different slots within this time period are available)
Might be interested in continuing as a tutor this summer/fall

What will you do?

You will tutor students virtually in a 1:1 - 1:3 setting.
You will utilize lessons designed to support student's classroom learning.
You will complete a self-paced online course to support you in delivering prepared lesson plans.
You will build relationships with students who look to you for support
You will have access to resources to ensure your success
You will change a student's life!

Requirements
What are the requirements to apply?

At least one year of experience working with students in some capacity.
Available during some point of peak tutoring hours (4:00-7:00 EST) Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday
Previous online tutoring experience and/or a bachelor's degree preferred.
Experience working with students in at least one of the grades K-6.
College students welcome to apply with 1+ years of relevant experience
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to effectively instruct and engage students
You reside in the continental United States, Alaska, or Hawaii.
Must have a computer or tablet with the Chrome or Safari browser and reliable, stable internet access, a working microphone, and a camera.

Benefits:

Pay rate is $17 per hour. Increase to $18 per hour upon successful completion of 12-hour self-paced course designed to support you in delivering provided curriculum.
