Job Summary

A private, for-profit university is searching for a person to fill their position for a Virtual Reference Librarian.

Individual must be able to fulfill the following responsibilities:

  • Use your relevant knowledge of copyright and intellectual property trends to evaluate online content for course inclusion
  • Provide reference assistance, using virtual communication tools
  • Analyze the needs of online learners to create instructional material in varied formats

Required Skills:

  • Master’s degree in Library Science from an American Library Association (ALA) accredited college or university
  • Experience in reviewing and applying copyright and intellectual property terms in an academic setting
  • Proven experience creating digital learning materials and teaching in a virtual environment
  • One (1) year of experience working with digital library collections
  • Solid knowledge of digital library resources and research techniques
  • Proficiency with Asana, LibAnswers and LibGuides or other library and project management platforms
