Job Details

An IT company offering data management software and an open source database management platform is in need of a Virtual Senior Escalations Software Engineer .

Individual must be able to fulfill the following responsibilities:

  • Deep-dive into a complex, distributed code-base to understand and document defects and UX shortcomings
  • Analyze and troubleshoot live distributed systems, in both development and production environments
  • Serve as primary contact point for managed services group to improve software usability

Skills and Requirements Include:

  • Some travel (on-site customer work)
  • Strong Java background in systems, back-end software, and high-performance computing
  • Extensive operational experience on Apache Cassandra or DSE in a devops or support role
  • Expert troubleshooting skills with large software deployments and distributed systems
  • Strong linux environment / os performance and troubleshooting skills
  • Experience working in support or escalations scenarios with critical, time sensitive issues
