Job Summary

Major multinational mass media and information firm has a current position open for a Virtual Senior Legal Editor .

Candidates will be responsible for the following:

• Developing municipal law and related content to be published online for the Government Services
• Writing, editing, and updating municipal law resources
• Establishing and maintaining relationships with external contributors that provide municipal law and related content for inclusion in the Government Service

Qualifications Include:

• At least six years experience working either: as a government lawyer on the state and/or local level, with a strong focus on municipal law, or as a private practitioner specializing in municipal or government law and representing state and/or local governmental entities
• J.D.
• A good understanding of the needs and priorities of public-sector lawyers who advise state and/or local governmental entities, especially municipalities
• Enthusiasm and ambition, with a desire to improve the efficiency of legal services
• A passion for writing and strong editing skills
• Excellent command of grammar, punctuation, and plain English
