A publishing company has a current position open for a Virtual Weekend Night Editor.
Core Responsibilities of this position include:
- Assigning, writing, and editing unique and timely stories
- Monitoring social media and search trends to find and identify stories and topics of interest
- Working closely with reporters to develop story ideas
Skills and Requirements Include:
- At least five years of experience in journalism
- Able to work weekend nights along with three weeknights
- Familiarity with using social media and Google trends
- Comfortable working on stories across a range of subjects (crime, health, business, etc)
- The ability to work quickly and cleanly while under pressure is essential
