VP of Information Security

Job Summary

Leading the global enterprise security and compliance initiatives, the full-time salaried VP of Information Security will design and implement a comprehensive security strategy while serving as the Chief Information Security Officer in a remote capacity.

Key responsibilities

• Architect and execute a multi-year information security and compliance strategy aligned with business growth and public sector goals
• Oversee compliance with FedRAMP, SOC 2 Type II, ISO 27001, and other regulatory frameworks while maintaining robust IT general controls for public company compliance
• Direct security operations, including threat management, incident response, and third-party risk management to ensure the security of cloud environments and SaaS platforms

Required qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical field
• 10+ years of leadership experience in information security and compliance within a publicly traded cloud/SaaS technology company
• Proven experience with FedRAMP authorization processes and continuous monitoring in AWS and/or Azure environments
• Strong understanding of both commercial SaaS security and public sector regulatory frameworks
• Exceptional communication skills for conveying complex security concepts to diverse stakeholders
