Job Summary

A company is looking for an Outpatient Hospital Coder.

Key Responsibilities

• Collect and abstract ICD-10 diagnosis, HCPCS codes, and CPT procedural codes from various hospital case types
• Support revenue integrity by reviewing posted charges for accuracy and resolving coding validation issues
• Review coding edits and assign modifiers based on billing regulations

Required Qualifications

• Associate degree or two years of college coursework in Health Information Management or equivalent work experience
• Two years of professional or outpatient facility coding experience or completion of an apprenticeship program
• AHIMA or AAPC credentials such as RHIT, RHIA, CCS, CCS-P, CPC, COC, CRC, or CPMA
• Preferred experience in a pediatric acute care setting
