Job Summary

Managing all aspects of indemnity claims handling, the full-time Wisconsin Licensed Claims Examiner will oversee a caseload of up to 150 workers' compensation files, ensuring compliance with state laws and company guidelines while working remotely.

Key responsibilities:

• Initiates and investigates claims, determining compensability and administering benefits
• Manages medical treatment and billing, authorizing as appropriate, and communicates with claimants and providers
• Settles and finalizes claims, maintaining accurate documentation and reserves within company guidelines

Required qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred or equivalent experience
• Three or more years of related experience in claims handling
• Technical knowledge of statutory regulations and medical terminology
• Ability to manage complex claims independently and effectively
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel preferred
