Job Summary

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Neonatal Intensive Care (NICU) RN with case management experience in care planning and coordination of services. The Case Manager (CM) is skillful in transition of care for high risk members throughout the health delivery system and acts as advocate as well as liaison between providers and members. Strong case management background in managed care is essential. This challenging position requires strong critical thinking skills as well as assessment, coordination, planning and evaluating of multiple environments.

The NICU Case Manager will reside in California and telecommute from home Monday through Friday during normal business hours. This is a full time position that is temporary for a period of two to four months with the intent to direct hire.

Job Duties include:

Facilitates the clinical progression of care and collaborates with health plan members and families as well as health plan and community providers

Manages and prioritizes care coordination activities and applies knowledge of complex care planning

Utilizes decision-making and critical-thinking skills in the review and determination of coverage for medically necessary health care services

Identifies process improvement opportunities


Job Requirements:

Graduate of an accredited program of nursing
Active unrestricted RN license in state of residence
Minimum of four years case management and/or acute care experience
At least two years experience in the care of NICU babies
Experience in a Managed Care setting strongly preferred
Strong computer skills: proficient in Windows, Excel and prior use of a laptop
US Citizenship required
Must be able to pass security clearance
