Job Description

We are looking for an experienced wWriter to contribute on a freelance basis to Investor Junkie's ever-growing list growing output of of helpful articles essays and reviews. Note that this is a freelance position that is paid on the acceptance of articles. The cContributing writer reports to the managing editor.

Writer candidates should have experience writing about personal finance or investing. However, we're not looking for someone to make stock recommendations, nor are we looking for someone who's just a blogger. We want thoughtful, well-written and informative articles to help investors of all levels make better overall financial choices.

Writers are encouraged to submit ideas for articles, but most projects will be assigned.

Responsibilities

Write at least 2 high-quality articles per month (as assigned)
Perform research on different topics related to investing and personal finance
Supply sources and backup for data/information as needed
Submit outlines and rough drafts as requested by the Managing Editor
Ensure all written pieces are accurate and objective
Contribute to content idea generation

Requirements

A detailed understanding of personal finance and investing
Experience writing about personal finance and investing (please supply a portfolio upon request)
Ability to craft high-quality, thoughtful articles and reviews
Proficiency in English
Ability to use Google Docs
Basic understanding of simple SEO concepts
Ability to meet deadlines
