Candidates will be responsible for the following: Designing, implementing, and monitoring a claims processing product. Working with medical policy team to understand the policy goals and ensure appropriate associated coding and claims processing language.
Complete scheduled audits of assigned providers at designated intervals. Monitor and aid in improving the quality of documentation. Compare clinical and financial records to ensure that the documentation supports the patient charges listed. Position Requirements Include:
Assist in design and implementation of workflow changes to reduce billing errors when necessary. Required Skills: Must have at least five years strong IP Coding experience, preferably in a trauma/teaching hospital. Must have AHIMA certification (CCS, RHIT, RHIA)
Accurately abstracts pertinent information from inpatient records into the designated computer system. Creates DRG group assignments while adhering to coding guidelines, regulations and compliance plan. Required Skills: High School Diploma or GED required.
