Successful completion of college-based coding program. Five years of directly related work experience inpatient acute care, hospital-based coding. Ability to understand and carry out instructions furnished in written, verbal or diagram form.
Assign the ICD-10-CM and CPT-4 codes as well as designate the appropriate DRG per record. Qualifications Include: Within commuting distance of the hospital in Washington, D. C. in order to attend a monthly meeting. 3 or more years of medical record coding experience in an acute care setting.
