A health services company is in need of a Telecommute Outpatient Medical Coder. Must be able to: Code a minimum average of 10 Outpatient encounters per hour with 95% accuracy. Accurately perform the full scope of outpatient multi-specialty coding. Follow site-specific coding guidelines.
Core Responsibilities of this position include: Developing field sales plans and leading a regional team of field sales representatives. Allocating total regional sales budget and control expenses accordingly. Coordinating with Market Access and Medical Affairs functions at regional level.
Being the first point of contact for patients. Scheduling appointments, verifying insurance, completing pre-certifications, and making referrals. Focusing solely on working with patients to obtain complete and accurate information. Qualifications for this position include:

AHIMA or AAPC approved credential. High school graduate or equivalent. Proficient in outpatient diagnosis coding guidelines. Working knowledge of the Outpatient Prospective Payment System (OPPS) Completion of basic coding course or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
