Job Summary

A company creating educational products needs applicants for an opening for a Virtual Math Item Writer.

Candidates will be responsible for the following:

• Writing engaging, high-quality math word problems for K-12 students
• Putting an emphasis on late elementary and middle school content
• Writing single-step and multi-step math word problems

Required Skills:

• BA/BS degree, preferably in math or education
• Knowledge of K-12 math curriculum, with especially strong knowledge of late elementary, middle school, and/or Algebra 1 content
• Clear, engaging writing style with a creative flair
• Ability to relate to K-12 students
• Knowledge of the Common Core State Standards for mathematics
