"I have been a VirtualVocations member for a few months. I just wanted to let you know that I recently got a full-time job with full benefits via an ad posted on Virtual Vocations. It pays over $20.00/hr.
I have a telecommuting background, plus a couple of degrees, so I did come into VV with a headstart over someone new to WAH/Virtual positions. However, I'd like to encourage everyone to keep trying.
If you don't have a college degree, or you have one that's not helping you, consider taking online classes. There are even places to take free classes that can help make you more marketable. You want to create a diverse skill-set to better market yourself.
Also, consider volunteering online for a company or industry you'd like to work in. It's a chance to get 'seen,' and learn some of the ins and outs, along with the lingo. If they aren't taking volunteers, how about participating in their forums?
I have also found LinkedIn.com an excellent place for networking, and had some good job listings, though not necessarily for WAH positions. Make sure that you have several résumés prepared so you can apply to different types of positions, and pay attention to your cover letter. It represents you!"

"I just had to drop you a line and thank you for providing a great service to those of us who work at home. I stepped out on faith to launch my virtual assistance company just a few short months ago and have already landed three clients, two of which came from leads found on virtualvocations.com. I've seen a lot of scams and was hesitant at first, but it's worth the small investment. I've referred several friends and associates too."--- Evelyn
"I have worked from home for a year. I haven't been scammed too much but it has been close. I was looking for an additional job when I came across Virtual Vocations. I immediately found a job that I thought would be perfect. I hesitated over the first month charge but the job description was so perfect I had to try. I not only landed that job but I just started a second one this week. I haven't even been a member for a month yet! I know how time consuming it is to find the perfect job; it is a full time job in itself. I have to say a huge Thank You to Virtual Vocations for the quality of leads!"--- Lisa
"Thank you for offering this service. I am currently building my own VA business and should find this a valuable resource."-Cyndi
Still have questions? Below are some of the most frequent inquiries about our site. If you have additional questions, please visit our FAQ page or email us through our Contact page.
What type of payments do you accept?
Right now our site only accepts payment through PayPal. If you don't have a PayPal account, or don't want to use one, go ahead and click the PayPal button to subscribe, and use the link on their page for paying with a credit or debit card without a PayPal account. We are not able to accept personal checks or money orders at this time.
Why do you charge a fee to apply to the jobs on your site, isn't that the same as a scam?
VirtualVocations is a job compiling website, not an employer. That means we research on the major Internet job boards each day, just as you have done, and we compile all the legitimate positions on our website to save you time. The subscription fee we charge is to cover our costs and the hours it takes us each day to research the jobs. The jobs we list should NEVER require you to pay any fees to actually work for the employer. If you receive an email from an 'employer' wanting a fee from a job on our site, please contact us immediately.
Is my subscription a one time charge?
Our subscriptions are on a recurring basis, however, you can cancel at any time through your PayPal account, before the next due date and not receive any further charges.
How do I cancel my subscription?
You can cancel your subscription any time through your PayPal account. Your account with us will remain active and you will be able to apply to jobs for the remainder of the time you initially paid for.
What is your refund policy?
Because we are a job compiling website, we compare ourselves to your local newspaper. If you were searching in the classified ads section for job listings, you might take a chance and buy the newspaper to have a convenient list of all the jobs that are available. On that same note, you would not expect a refund from the newspaper company if the employers did not contact or hire you, or if the position was already filled when you tried to apply. We try our best to keep our job listing as current as possible with open positions; that is one of the reasons jobs are only kept on our site for 14 days from the original posting date. We provide refunds at your request if there are technical issues with our website that do not allow you to utilize your account for more than 48 hours.
I am an employer and would like to post a job on your site, what should I do?
We request that you submit your job to us through our 'Contact Us' page, and include the job description, pay rate, and the email address or form of contact you would like the applicants to respond through. We will review your job and post it as long as it meets our qualifications. Once approved, you will receive an email with a link to your job on our site. All jobs we post must be telecommute or partial telecommute, and include an hourly, salary or per project pay rate. No commission based jobs unless they provide a base hourly/salary pay. No 'adult related' jobs. No listings that require a startup fee.
I don't live in the United States, am I eligible to apply to these positions?
You are more than welcome to apply to the positions on our site. It is up to each individual employer to decide whether they will hire internationally. Some employers state you must live in a specific area, while others are completely virtual. Whenever possible we have included that information in the job listing.
Is my personal information/resume' safe in your database?
Absolutely. VirtualVocations holds a SSL certificate that allows us to store your information in a secure database. We will never sell or share your email address with any other person/company. The only outside person that would receive your email address would be those employers that you apply to through our website.
How long will it take me to get a job?
The amount of time it takes each person to find a work at home position that suits their particular skill set and qualifications varies. The work at home job market carries a lot of competition, so we encourage people not to give up! If you have applied to jobs for over 8 weeks and have not heard anything back from anyone, we would suggest that you make sure you are applying to positions you are qualified for, as well as look over your resume and cover letter to make sure they reflect what you have to offer and are in a professional format.

Working from Home on the Internet:
Blogging is an easy way to monetize and add to your income. However, the key to having your blog exposed to make money, first of all, is to get select a username that is not very competitive, but what some people are searching for on a monthly basis.
For example, let’s say that the key phrase, “working from home,” was not a competitive keyword. This is just an example because we know it is. You would use “working from home,” as your username on the blog when you sign up. You would write your first person using the title, “working from home.” What will happen then is that when someone is searching for the term, “working from home,” your blog will show up in the search engines.
However, there are a few more vital steps. Use your blog feed and submit to RSS feed directories, as well as social marketing websites such as de.licio.us, stumbleupon, reditt and digg.
Next, you will want to put some affiliate links on your blog. Use clickbank or paydotcom to find products or services related to working from home. Write product reviews and post to your blog. Make sure that these product reviews are unbiased and related to the affiliate links that you have posted on your blogs.
If you have any youtube videos to show on your blog, use them. A picture is always worth a thousand words. You will grab the reader’s attention with pictures and videos. Create a squidoo lens and a hub page as well as a google page to compliment your blog and get more exposure. These are free services that you should use to get your services exposed to the Internet masses that do business online.
