Walmart is a household name for most people in the United States. However, you may not realize that Walmart operates over 10,500 retail stores and clubs in 24 countries. Walmart’s Current Remote Work Policy
Having said that, Walmart work from home jobs give way to policies that are clearly in favor of an in-person workforce. To facilitate a return to the office, Walmart mandates that all associates working in multiple facilities or in campus offices receive the vaccine. The company also paid bonuses to associates in stores, clubs, transportation offices, distribution centers, and fulfillment centers $150 once vaccinated. Quoted in an October 2021 corporate blog post, Chief People Officer, Donna Morris, noted, “There is no substitution for being in the offices together.”
There are a number of notable exceptions, however. While the majority of temporarily remote workers started returning to the office last November, the Walmart Global Tech team of 15,000+ technical professionals continue to work remotely. The blog post also refers to “returning to a more flexible way of working,” although no details are provided.

As expected with a company of this size, employee reviews run the gamut from loving everything to hating everything about their job. Overall, Glassdoor offers a 3.3 out of 5-star rating. Employee reviews indicate that pay and benefits are decent, and they appreciate the flexible hours. Complaints tend to center on long hours, lack of work-life balance, and poor management.
Ratings at Careerbliss are slightly higher at 3.6 out of 5 stars, which is 8% lower than the average for all companies on the website. Top ratings were given for the people worked with, the people worked for, and the way work is completed. The lowest ratings are given for growth opportunities, corporate culture, and rewards received.
