401(k) Plan Consultant

Job Summary

Working remotely on a full-time basis, the 401(k) Plan Consultant will manage annual nondiscrimination testing and Form 5500 preparation for various retirement plans while collaborating with advisors, auditors, and plan sponsors to address plan issues and contributions.

Key responsibilities

• Perform nondiscrimination, top-heavy, and coverage testing for defined contribution plans
• Calculate retirement plan contributions, allocations, and corrective actions for testing failures
• Prepare IRS Form 5500-SF, 5500-EZ, and assist with the preparation of Form 5500 with schedules

Required qualifications

• 3-5 years of relevant experience preferred
• Ability to read and understand complex documentation surrounding 401(k) plans
• Knowledge of basic accounting principles for asset reconciliations
• PensionPro and FT Williams software experience preferred
• QKA Certification preferred
