5G Research Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a 5G/Mobile Core Research Engineer to support R&D contracts with the DoD.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct research and development activities focused on improving cellular communication security
• Modify and deploy 5G mobile core to support new functionality
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and test innovative solutions

Required Qualifications:

• Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident residing in the U.S
• BS or post-graduate degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Applied Mathematics, or Physics
• Proficient in programming languages including C/C++, Python, Kotlin, or React
• Experience with network protocols and tracing utilities
• Knowledge of 5G core network architecture and protocols is highly valued
