A/R Follow Up Specialist

Job Summary

Working remotely on a full-time basis, the A/R Follow Up Specialist will manage unresolved insurance claims, conduct research on claim issues, and ensure timely resolution to facilitate payments.

Key responsibilities

• Following up on unresolved claims and checking claim status through phone calls and insurance websites
• Identifying reasons for non-payment from payers and taking appropriate actions to resolve issues
• Handling patient balances as assigned and completing other related duties as needed

Required qualifications

• 2+ years of A/R follow-up (Insurance Collections) experience is required
• Experience in medical billing and hospital claims is preferred
• Proven ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
• Prior office experience involving problem-solving and research
• Strong computer skills with the ability to summarize account details concisely
