A/R Follow Up Specialist

Job Summary

Following up on aged, unresolved claims, the full-time A/R Follow Up Specialist will work remotely from Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM CST, and will be responsible for researching insurance issues and ensuring payment resolution with carriers.

Key responsibilities

• Following up on unresolved claims and checking claim status through phone calls and insurance websites
• Identifying reasons for non-payment and taking appropriate actions to resolve issues
• Managing patient balances as assigned and performing additional duties as needed

Required qualifications

• 2+ years of A/R follow-up (Insurance Collections) experience is required
• Experience in medical billing and hospital claims is preferred
• Strong problem-solving and research skills with the ability to work independently
• 2+ years of office experience where problem-solving and research were key to success
• Prior computer experience and ability to summarize account details concisely
