A/R Follow Up Specialist

Job Summary

Working remotely full-time, the A/R Follow Up Specialist will manage unresolved insurance claims, conduct research on claim issues, and ensure timely payment resolutions while adhering to a Monday-Friday schedule from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.

Key responsibilities

• Following up on aged, unresolved claims with insurance carriers
• Researching and identifying issues related to claim payments and taking appropriate actions
• Documenting account notes concisely and accurately to summarize important details

Required qualifications

• 2+ years of A/R follow-up (Insurance Collections) experience is required
• Medical billing experience is helpful, with a preference for hospital claims and healthcare receivables experience
• Prior office experience emphasizing problem-solving and research skills
• Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities effectively
• Prior computer experience is required, along with excellent verbal communication skills
