Job Summary
Working remotely on a full-time basis, the A/R Follow Up Specialist will manage aged, unresolved claims by following up with insurance carriers, researching issues, and ensuring payment resolution.
Key responsibilities
- Following up on unresolved claims and checking claim status via phone and insurance websites
- Identifying reasons for non-payment and taking appropriate actions to resolve issues
- Following up on assigned patient balances and handling various special projects
Required qualifications
- 2+ years of A/R Follow Up (Insurance Collections) experience is required
- Medical billing experience is helpful, with hospital claims experience preferred
- Prior office experience focusing on problem solving and research
- Ability to summarize important details concisely in account notes
- Flexibility to manage competing priorities and work independently
