Job Summary
Working remotely in a full-time capacity, the A/R Follow Up Specialist will manage aged, unresolved claims by following up with insurance carriers, researching issues, and ensuring payment resolutions.
Key responsibilities
- Following up on unresolved claims and checking claim status via phone and insurance websites
- Identifying reasons for non-payment and taking appropriate actions to resolve issues
- Handling patient balances as assigned and completing other related tasks as needed
Required qualifications
- 2+ years of A/R Follow Up (Insurance Collections) experience is required
- Experience in medical billing and hospital claims is preferred
- Strong problem-solving and research skills with the ability to work independently
- Prior office experience where problem-solving and research were key to success
- Proficient in summarizing important details in account notes
