A/R Follow Up Specialist
Job Summary
Following up on aged, unresolved claims, the full-time A/R Follow Up Specialist will work remotely from Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, and is responsible for researching insurance issues and ensuring timely payments from insurance carriers.
Key responsibilities
- Follow up on unresolved claims and check claim status through phone calls and insurance websites
- Identify reasons for non-payment and take appropriate actions to resolve issues
- Assist with patient balance follow-ups as assigned and complete other related duties
Required qualifications
- 2+ years of A/R follow-up (Insurance Collections) experience is required
- Medical billing experience is helpful; hospital claims experience preferred
- 2+ years of office experience with a focus on problem solving and research
- Ability to summarize important details concisely in account notes
- Prior computer experience is required
