A/R Follow Up Specialist

Job Summary

Following up on aged, unresolved claims, the full-time A/R Follow Up Specialist will work remotely from 8AM-5PM CST/9AM-6PM EST, managing communications with insurance carriers and researching issues to ensure payment resolution.

Key responsibilities

• Follow up on unresolved claims and patient balances as assigned
• Research and identify reasons for non-payment from payers, utilizing phone calls and insurance company websites
• Take appropriate actions to resolve claim issues and ensure closure of insurance balances

Required qualifications

• 2+ years of A/R follow-up (Insurance Collections) experience is required
• Medical billing experience is helpful; hospital claims and healthcare receivables experience preferred
• 2+ years of office experience with a focus on problem solving and research
• Ability to summarize important details concisely in account notes
• Prior computer experience is required
