A/R Follow Up Specialist

Job Summary

To support the resolution of aged claims, the full-time A/R Follow Up Specialist will work remotely, focusing on following up with insurance carriers, researching claim issues, and ensuring payment closure.

Key responsibilities

• Following up on unresolved claims and checking claim status through phone calls and insurance websites
• Identifying reasons for non-payment and taking appropriate actions to resolve issues
• Managing patient balances as assigned and performing additional duties as needed

Required qualifications

• 2+ years of A/R follow-up (Insurance Collections) experience is required
• Medical billing experience is helpful; hospital claims and healthcare receivables experience preferred
• Prior office experience with a focus on problem solving and research
• Ability to summarize important details in account notes effectively
• Familiarity with computer systems and remote work requirements, including internet connectivity
