A/R Follow Up Specialist
Job Summary
Working remotely on a full-time basis, the A/R Follow Up Specialist will manage unresolved insurance claims, conduct research on claim issues, and ensure timely resolution of payment discrepancies.
Key responsibilities
- Following up on aged, unresolved claims with insurance carriers
- Researching and identifying issues related to claim payments and patient balances
- Taking appropriate actions to resolve payment issues and ensure closure of accounts
Required qualifications
- 2+ years of A/R Follow Up (Insurance Collections) experience
- Medical billing experience is preferred
- Prior experience with hospital claims and healthcare receivables is advantageous
- Strong problem-solving and research skills demonstrated in an office environment
- Able to summarize important account details concisely in notes
