A/R Follow Up Specialist
Job Summary
Working remotely on a full-time basis, the A/R Follow Up Specialist will manage follow-ups with insurance carriers on aged claims, research insurance issues, and ensure resolution to facilitate payments.
Key responsibilities
- Follow up on unresolved claims and identify reasons for non-payment
- Utilize phone calls and insurance websites to check claim statuses and resolve issues
- Assist with patient balance follow-ups as assigned and complete special projects
Required qualifications
- 2+ years of A/R follow-up (Insurance Collections) experience is required
- Medical billing experience is helpful, with a preference for hospital claims experience
- Experience in problem solving, research, and organization
- 2+ years of office experience focused on problem solving and research
- Prior computer experience and ability to summarize account details concisely
