Job Summary
Following up on unresolved claims, the full-time A/R Follow Up Specialist will work remotely to research insurance issues, communicate with carriers, and ensure timely payment resolution from payers.
Key responsibilities
- Follow up on aged, unresolved claims with insurance carriers
- Research and resolve issues related to payment delays and patient balances
- Utilize insurance company websites and make phone calls to check claim statuses
Required qualifications
- 2+ years of A/R follow-up (Insurance Collections) experience required
- Medical billing experience is helpful; hospital claims experience preferred
- Prior office experience with a focus on problem solving and research
- Ability to summarize important details concisely in account notes
- Familiarity with computer systems and remote work requirements
